SUMMARY:Afrofuturism with Walidah Imarisha
LOCATION:Rockwood Library\, 17917 SE Stark Street\, Portland\, OR
DESCRIPTION:Learn about and discuss Afrofuturism with author and scholar W
alidah Imarisha. Whenever we try to envision a world without war\, without
violence\, without prisons\, without capitalism\, we are engaging in an e
xercise of speculative fiction. Walidah Imarisha will uncover the truths b
uried in the fantastical – and inject a healthy dose of the fantastical
 into our search for truth.\n\nhttps://multcolib.org/events-classes/afrofut
