How We Show Up: A Zine-Making Workshop for Civic Action November 7, 2026 Admission: $10 per participant Share × " class="share-btn"> Share on Facebook &text=How We Show Up: A Zine-Making Workshop for Civic Action" class="share-btn"> Share on Twitter Email Saturday, November 7 | 12:30-3:30pm Inspired by OJMCHE’s How We Show Up exhibition, this hands-on workshop invites high school and college students to make zines as a way to show up and create change in our community. Zines are a small but mighty form of self-publishing: Anyone can make, print, and share them to amplify ideas and inspire change. We’ll provide everything you need to get started, including creative supplies, templates, paper, pens, and a traveling zine library for inspiration. Every participant will make and take home a zine—no previous experience required. Just bring an interest in civic engagement and enthusiasm for creating something new. This program is intended for teens through college level participants. Registration is required due to limited space and closes on Thursday, November 5. The workshop will be facilitated by designer, artist and zine enthusiast Kelsey Snook . Kelsey has worked with local non-profit OK YOU to develop a not-so-secret zine society and spent more than 15 years creating participatory environments that bring people together.
