The annual Good Day Darling food drive collects non-perishable food donations for local families ahead of Thanksgiving. At the Portland Pearl District location, donating 3 items gives $5 off an entire purchase, 7 items gives $10 off, or 12 items gives $15 off. Donations are accepted throughout the drive.

Chabad Center for Jewish Life invites the community to celebrate Hanukkah with the annual lighting of Portland’s Public Menorah at Pioneer Courthouse Square, Friday, December 4 – Sunday, December 13, 2026.

Chabad Center for Jewish Life offers Jewish education, outreach, and social service programming for families and individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and affiliations.

A community flag display for Veterans Day brings together volunteers to celebrate national pride. More than 200 national flags will be set up and later taken down. Volunteers meet at the old fire station to start the installation, then return later to remove the flags. People of all ages are welcome to participate.
