Vendor highlights include Kohai Ceramics, Vitrelux Glassworks, Vibrant Valley Farm, Buji Butter, Chatley Tea, Attic Journals, and many more local makers, including clothing designers, floral artists, candle makers, jewelry artists, wood turners, upcycled knitwear magicians, and more. It's an awe-inspiring collection of local people making great gifts.

Lisa: My partner in Sacramento, CA and I (now in Portland) had a community radio show for the year of 2024 in Davis, CA at KDVS 90.3 FM.
We would play goth, industrial, soundtracks, scores, indie rock, and more. Kyle really liked playing music from mostly small shows (some medium) we would attend.
We are planning to have some of the focus be on the dead or death or related topics to honor The Day of the Dead in our own way.
If anyone has any requests to add to remember or honor their Loved Ones, we welcome those songs. Even if you don't think they fit with our music choices, we still welcome them.
Moorland is helping us with our route. Thanks:)

We are excited to host Acre Knife, a small team of bladesmiths crafting kitchen and outdoor knives in the St. Johns neighborhood!
They will demonstrate their new line of everyday hand-finished culinary knives and let shoppers try them for themselves.
About AcreFor years, a group of accomplished bladesmiths had devoted themselves to making exceptional knives. They had apprenticed, studied traditional techniques, experimented with materials, and developed their own methods. But they also knew how difficult it could be to build a life around that kind of work.
In 2023, Dane Tomseth set out to change that by creating a place where skilled makers could do serious work, earn a living, and keep getting better. That place became Acre Forge, a working production facility in North Portland’s St. Johns neighborhood where experienced makers share equipment, techniques, ideas, and a daily practice.
Their collective experience spans traditional Japanese techniques, modern design, metallurgy, ergonomics, culinary experience, woodworking, and machining. That shared foundation and the different paths that brought them to it is what shapes Acre’s knife lines: Macrum and Signature.
#OptOutside with All Bodies On Bikes and REI in Portland, OR for a social ride where we'll fill up community fridges and pantries! Meetup at Abernathy School at 1PM loaded with items to distribute along our ~10 mile, ~8mph, no-drop ride. Route is a loop ending with refreshments and giveaways at Abernathy.
All bodies are good bodies and all bikes are good bikes!
Space is limited; every participant must be signed up in advance to reserve a spot.
Join us at the Creative Learning Room to learn a new skill, and meet friendly people. The program will focus exclusively on an introduction to 3D printing with our Prusa printers. As a result, other equipment will not be available for public use during this time.
Explore science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on activities. From building and designing to experimenting and exploring—there’s something for every curious mind.
For ages 5–12
Staff and volunteers will help you 3D print a project of your choice (subject to time limits). Whether you're brand new to 3D printing or already have an STL file ready, we'll help you on the next step of your 3D printing journey. No experience necessary. An assortment of colors of PLA will be available.
Space is limited and registration is required. Registration opens December 1.
Recognized throughout the Pacific Northwest as the “Largest Holiday Light Show West of the Mississippi”, Winter Wonderland will grab your attention with glimmers and glows around every corner. Spectators can enjoy the region’s most spectacular drive-through light show, viewing over 250 colorful light set pieces and many fully animated scenes from the comfort of their own vehicle. Studded tires and chains are not allowed at Portland International Raceway.

Enjoy an illuminated evening bike ride through Wilsonville’s city streets. Perfect for families and cycling enthusiasts of all ages!
Would you ride in the rain for all-you-can-eat bratwurst? Let's enjoy some rolling (and likely rainy) miles to Verboort; the all-you-can eat dinner tastes way better if you ride there!
GETTING THERE
Meet at the Wallace Park picnic shelter near the basketball courts. Gather at 8am, departing at 8:30am - can't be too late to dinner. Pace will be spirited enough to stay warm but slow enough to not show up too sweaty. There will be a few regroup/snack breaks at the top of the climbs, as shown on the route.
THE ROUTE
Please be aware that there are some significant hills on this route, and we will be far from TriMet service at times. While this is a no-drop ride, you are expected to be self-sufficient! Bring enough layers and calories to keep yourself happy and healthy for the conditions. There are short sections of busy roads on route, but it is generally pretty low-traffic. There is a short section of gravel since it's the nicest way to get over the hill; you will be able to ride it on any type of bike.
Bring a lock, lights, rain gear, and some cash! Fenders are appreciated :)
THE SAUSAGE FESTIVAL
Dinner is $23, and there will be a wait to eat after we arrive. Luckily, there's a beer garden to pass the time in... There will be sauerkraut and sausage for sale. Make sure you've got the stomach and cargo capacity to take advantage of it all!
https://www.verboort.org/dinner
GETTING HOME
Worried about riding home? ...trust us, the MAX is the better option. We'll roll out as a group and keep the pace easy on our full tummies.
Learn how to design custom decorations for your winter festivities! Use free online tools to create ornaments, table set pieces, and more. No 3D design experience needed to attend, although 3D Printer Certification is required to print your designs later.
Ages 13+
Every participant must sign up in advance to reserve their spot. No library card required. All materials are provided. Registration opens two weeks in advance.
What will you create? Bring your ideas and make them a reality! Join us at the Rockwood Library makerspace to make something cool, learn a new skill, and meet friendly people.
Meet our bike club, explore Portland Metro, learn great routes North, South, East and West.We do the planning and you just come out to ride your bike and enjoy some time in the saddle. NO DROP bike ride. Mostly flat and easy (climbs to access bridges). Caters to newer, slower riders. Learn how to access and ride the two Interstate Bridges. Beautiful scenery, fun metro riding. Depending on group and weather we may take a spin through the new Vancouver waterfront area. Will include a stop at a nice cafe in Vancouver. Pace 13-15 mph with modifications for specific group.
🚨 Newsflash: AN IDEA FOR A RIDE
On November 25, 1976 (Thanksgiving Day), the Band held a farewell concert at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. It was The Last Waltz.
Besides The Band, the concert featured their former employers, Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan, as well as Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, the Staple Singers, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood, and Neil Young.
The Last Waltz was filmed by Martin Scorsese who made a documentary film with the same name that came out in 1978. It is considered one of the greatest concert films ever made.
I have to admit that I never saw the film until recently, but with the 50th anniversary coming, I decided that I needed to have a look. It is truly a fine record of rock and other popular music in the mid 1970s and a showcase for the Band itself. (I admit also that I had previously known only their most popular songs.)
This year, November 25 is the day before Thanksgiving. I know that is busy day for many people, but I still think that it would be fitting to commemorate the 50th anniversary in a celebratory bike ride.
I do not have a speaker or trailer or any way to play music during a ride. That is why this is only "an idea for a ride". If this idea inspires you (and especially if you have a way to bring music to a ride), please reach out and let me know. If it doesn't work out, I can always stay home (or go somewhere else - my wife doesn't like the music) and watch the movie again. (I have the Blu-ray!)
Exact time is, of course, flexible, as are starting location, length, etc.
