Apple Pie Concert

On November 10, 2026, Skyview High School Band and Dance Program (SVBD) hosts their annual Apple Pie Concert. This is a free concert open to the public honoring and thanking veterans for their service. Veterans are invited to attend and will be provided a free slice of pie & coffee. Additional pies, slices, pastries, desserts, and beverages will also be available for purchase to the general public to raise funds to support our band and dance program.

SVBD has a long history of performance excellence through music and dance. To continue this robust program for our students, we rely not only on our parents, extended families and students to raise money, but also on the generosity of our community and local businesses to sustain our program. With over 100+ students, SVBD consists of the Fall Marching Band & Guard (dance team), Winter Guard, Winter Percussion, two Jazz Bands, three Concert Bands (Concert, Symphonic and Wind Ensemble), a Spring Parade Marching Band & Guard, and pep bands for school events. These bands and dance teams put in countless hours to compete and perform for the community throughout the year. Skyview High School is the last school in Clark County to offer competitive Marching Band & Guard, Winter Guard, and Winter Percussion.

Through fundraising and community support, SVBD keeps the bands and dance teams supplied with the necessary support to keep the program functioning at a competitive level. SVBD assists with instructor fees, show design costs, musical and dance equipment, uniforms, maintenance costs of travel trailers to haul show equipment, and travel costs for the many competitions and events they participate in each year. For all opportunities, SVBD is proud to fund scholarships ensuring that financial need is never a barrier to a student’s experience.

Thank you in advance for joining us and for supporting our students and band program as they continue to grow and thrive.

Hung Dance

Choreographer Lai Hung-Chung makes dances of striking beauty and intention. “Birdy,” his captivating signature work for Hung Dance, moves between suspense and explosive energy, between the weight of tradition and the pull toward something new. Hung Dance blends traditional Chinese arts, including tai chi, Peking Opera, and classical Chinese music, with contemporary dance technique and driving electronic music, creating work that is poetic and rhythmic at once. What audiences see on stage is a world in constant transformation, where bodies bend and resist, images linger, and the tension between holding on and letting go becomes the dance itself.

Derek Hough Dance for the Holidays

Derek Hough Dance for the Holidays is a joyous celebration of the most festive time of the year! With jingle bells and sleigh bells, holiday carols and cheer, Hough’s latest dance spectacular is a show stopping event for the whole family. Fans will be thrilled and delighted as Hough and his cast of phenomenal dancers bring your favorite holiday tunes to life through dance, from the well sung classics to modern pop hits with all of the incredible choreography, exciting stage production and dance mastery that audiences have come to expect. Creative team and EMMY¼ winners, Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo, also known as NappyTabs (Jennifer Lopez’s ‘All I Have’, Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour, GRAMMYs¼), co-create, direct and supervise choreography for the tour.

Emmy Award-winning and New York Times Best-Selling author Derek Hough started dancing in his hometown of Salt Lake City, UT, at age 11. Just one year later, he moved to London to live and train with the top dance coaches in the world and attend the prestigious Italia Conti performing arts school where he studied theatre, music, and dance. He is a four-time Emmy Award winner and 13-time nominee, his four Emmys tie him for most in Television Academy history.

Hough is the current host of the long-running television program Extra. He has also appeared in film, television, and stage projects as an actor. He made his feature film debut for director Duane Adler and producer Robert Cort in the feature film Make Your Move and had a recurring role on the ABC series Nashville and in High School Musical The Musical for Disney+. His stage performances include Radio City Music Hall’s Spring Spectacular costarring alongside the Tony Award-winning Laura Benanti and the critically acclaimed production of Footloose in which he starred as the male lead in London's West End. In December 2016, Hough starred with Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Martin Short and Harvey Fierstein in NBC’s Hairspray Live!

As a cast member of the ABC series Dancing with the Stars, Hough is part of the judging panel alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno. A multi-talented entertainer and the only six-time champion in franchise history, Hough had previously performed on the show as a pro-dancer. His mirror ball wins came with celebrity partners that included Brooke Burke, Jennie Garth, Ricki Lake, Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Grey, Kellie Pickler, Amber Riley, Amy Purdy and Bindi Irwin.

In May of 2017, Hough joined Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo at the judges table for the NBC series World of Dance. The show, which he was part of for 4 seasons, launched as the highest rated summer show in over ten years and was unparalleled dance competition that featured solo artists competing against duos and crews in all genres of dance, including hip hop, tap, ballet, break dancing, ballroom, and more competing for a million-dollar prize.

Hough can also add best-selling author to his list of credits. His memoir Taking the Lead; Lessons from a Life in Motion hit stands in August 2014 and rapidly was named to the prestigious New York Times Best-Seller list during two non-consecutive time periods, a rare feat.

In 2021 and 2022, Hough headlined his residency Derek Hough: No Limit in the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada. The critically acclaimed dance-centric show at the Venetian Resort takes Fans on a journey through a true fusion of dance and music, as Hough explores styles ranging from ballroom and tap to salsa, hip-hop and everything in between.

Annie

Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie has become a worldwide phenomenon and was the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The beloved book and score by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, features some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written, including “Tomorrow.”

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations
and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

IMPORTANT: This is a Sensory Friendly performance. Sound and light levels have been adjusted for children with sensory sensitivities. Audience capacity has been reduced to allow for buffered seating. Pay What You Will Dance your way through the holidays with NWCT’s original tap musical extravaganza. Young Cinderella knows she’s destined for the stage. But with jealous relatives standing between her and the spotlight, she will need courage, passion, and a little magic to make it into the spotlight. Written and composed by Ezra Weiss, Cinderella is the perfect holiday experience for the whole family and will keep your toes tapping until the stroke of midnight. Tickets to all shows at The Judy are general admission.
