Sound Bath Experience on the Farm

ChamBurn Farm LLC20925 S Nursery Ln

As autumn settles more deeply into the land, join a cozy evening at ChamBurn Farm in Oregon City, just 20 minutes south of Portland. Begin with a short tour of the beautifully designed farm, then warm up with hot cider and a seasonal snack provided by chef Jim of ChamBurn Farm.

Under a large covered outdoor patio complete with a fire burning in the fireplace, Angela of Breathe Yoga will open the evening's practice with a grounding, inviting you to settle into your body, connect with the earth beneath you, and arrive fully in the moment. Then, Gabrielle of Hearthsounds Sound Healing will guide you into a 75-minute immersive sound bath. Singing bowls, gong, chimes, and other instruments will surround you in layers of sound and vibration, blending with the natural sounds of the farm: the crackle of the fire, the rustling of the evening air, and the occasional call of an animal.

November invites one to slow down. The harvest has been gathered, the landscape is changing, and nature is gradually becoming quieter. This evening is an opportunity to follow that rhythm, settle into stillness, and simply receive.

Waterfalls, Mt Hood, and Wine Tour

Beginning in the Cascades and moving upriver through the eastern stretch of the Columbia River Gorge is the relatively young but rapidly growing wine-making region known as the Columbia River American Viticulture Area (AVA). Often referred to as “A World of Wine in 40 Miles,” the Columbia River AVA combines climates, soils, elevation, and geology to produce some of the most varied grape varietals in the Pacific Northwest.

Enthusiastic guides will introduce you to the most amazing places in the Gorge, Hood River Valley, and Mt Hood National Forest while providing a comprehensive narrative of this spectacular landscape and its transformative history. They will then transport you to one winery that best represents the unique offerings from the Columbia River AVA. Stops include Multnomah Falls, Bonneville Fish Hatchery, Hood River, one winery, and Timberline Lodge (over halfway up the side of Mt. Hood). Tasting fees are included.

One Nation

Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education724 Northwest Davis Street

One Nation brings together contemporary artists who explore the ideals and contradictions embedded in the American promise. Drawing on the national motto E Pluribus Unum — “Out of Many, One” — the exhibition reflects on how a diverse society strives toward unity while confronting social, political, and cultural divisions.

Across painting, photography, sculpture, textile, and mixed media, the artists consider themes central to American civic life: immigration and belonging, protest and dissent, labor and economic justice, religious freedom, racial inequality, and the enduring power of democratic ideals.

Personal histories and collective memory intersect throughout the exhibition. Portraits of leaders and everyday citizens appear alongside symbolic images of journeys, borders, and shared responsibility. Together, these works ask viewers to consider not only what unites Americans, but also what challenges the nation’s commitment to liberty and justice, and invites reflection on the role individuals and communities play in shaping the country’s future.

This ride will tour public art and Public Works sites that mimic natural waterways, including the Oregon Convention Center rain garden and the downtown Open Space Sequence. It will be a relaxed paced ride (8-10 mph) along low-stress bikeways, with frequent stops to show off gems of Portland art, architecture and inspiration that represent our connection to the natural world, specifically rivers and streams.

This is a no-drop loop ride perfect for folks new to Portland, new to the bike or just getting back on their wheels. About 8 miles long round trip. Coffee and restroom available at the start location, we'll provide the donuts!.

Bring a friend because no one is left behind! Bring appropriate clothing - you know Portland weather, always interesting, and we'll ride rain or shine.
Free and open to everyone. Made possible with support from the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund.

Free BIKETOWN rides!
We have some free BIKETOWN codes (we pay the cost) available specifically for this ride! To receive a BIKETOWN code, email Timo Forsberg at [email protected].
