Taste for Equity: Cultivate

The Nines, A Luxury Collection Hotel525 Southwest Morrison Street

Join an evening where chefs, winemakers, and farmers come together to share the harvest — an evening of food, land, and community unfolding beneath an open sky. Guests will rotate in small groups to taste a dish and wine pairing developed by three chefs and three winemakers from the roster of TASTE's past partners in three different settings around the estate. Then, come together for dessert and celebration during the golden hour program, culminating with dancing under the stars.

Supporting Adelante Mujeres means investing in the Latine community to cultivate opportunity, leadership, and resilience — strengthening the roots that help communities rise together. In addition to Adelante Mujeres, proceeds from this year's TASTE for Equity Event Series also benefit two additional powerful Portland organizations: APANO, uniting Asian and Pacific Islanders to build power and advance equity, and ELSO Inc., cultivating generations of innovators and problem solvers for local and global impact.

Party bus transportation from a central location in Portland will be offered to all guests for an additional cost at the time of checkout when you purchase your ticket. Please join and extend the evening of fun, and make sure you get home safely.

Seats are limited, and this event will sell out. If you’ve been to a TASTE event before, you know. If this is your first time — welcome. This table was made for you. Tickets are 75-$250 on a sliding scale. Lower-priced tickets are reserved for those working in the F&B service industry.

Ghost Show! The Reading of the TV Pilot

Twilight Theater Company7515 North Brandon Avenue Portland

Ghost Show! is the story of a group of people who have found themselves at the lowest point in their lives — making a low-budget ghost hunting show that’s in last place in the local ratings. But an accidental death (is she dead, though?) leads to a boost in engagement…and a whole new set of problems. Filmed both behind the scenes and as in-universe episodes of the show, Ghost Show! is all about failure, found family, and trying to make meaning out of the ghosts of the past — and future.

Join the Tiny Park Productions team at Twilight Theater for the launch party of the pilot reading of Ghost Show! Not only will you see and hear the first official reading of the pilot script, but you’ll also get to enjoy fun, spooky-season-themed activities and treats — think of it as a theatrical carnival.

There will also be a costume contest with Door Prizes, so Halloween costumes are encouraged.

Tickets include a free raffle ticket. Prizes include real ghost-hunting gear.

Home Sweet Home: Ashley Anson

One Grand Gallery1000 East Burnside Street

One Grand Gallery is delighted to welcome back Portland-based Ashley Anson for her second solo exhibition with the gallery. Home Sweet Home expounds on Anson’s fondness for found textiles and materials and processes historically associated with feminine domestic labor. Drawing on traditionally gendered art forms such as quilting and embroidery, she combines textiles with painting and small sculpture to create narratives about the unseen worlds within people’s homes. Home is central to her work, a place that can hold peace, chaos, and danger all at once.

Anson transforms personal family folklore into layered narratives, exploring how stories imagined in childhood are remembered, exaggerated, and reinterpreted across generations. Her work also examines gender roles in art, asking what gives a painting masculine or feminine attributes and whether an artist’s gender can be sensed in the work. By combining the historically male-dominated practice of painting with embroidery and textiles, she challenges conventional distinctions between artistic mediums.

Join the opening reception on Friday, Oct. 30 from 6- 9 p.m. In the spirit of the Halloween season, the opening will transition into a party as the evening approaches. Costumes are strongly encouraged.

Friends of La Belle Promenade

Friends of La Belle Promenade

Friday, November 20, 2026 | 6:30–9:00 PM
Flâneur Wines at the Carlton Grain Elevator

One vineyard. Many expressions. An evening among friends.

Be part of the first gathering of six esteemed wineries united by one extraordinary site, La Belle Promenade Vineyard. Flâneur Wines, Patricia Green Cellars, Hazelfern Cellars, Suzor Wines, Martin Woods Winery, and Las Jaras Wines will share more than 10 distinct expressions of La Belle Promenade Vineyard, spanning Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, sparkling wine, Pinot Meunier and Aligoté.

The gathering comes at a moment of growing recognition for the vineyard. Wines from La Belle Promenade have earned critical acclaim, including a first-place ranking among Chardonnays for a wine grown entirely from the site at The 1976 Redo international blind tasting.

The evening will unfold as an intimate, cocktail-style tasting for just 65 guests, with winemakers and winery teams pouring their wines, sharing stories, and offering their unique perspectives on the vineyard through relaxed conversation.

Our friends at Hayward—named one of The New York Times’ 2026 America’s Best Restaurants and recognized by the James Beard Foundation—will bring their signature seasonal cooking to an abundant, Friendsgiving-inspired spread. Rather than a seated dinner, expect a festive experience designed for grazing gathering. Think a little retro holiday party, a little harvest feast, and very Hayward.

FULL SPECTRUM Immersive Art Exhibition: Opening Night Party!

FULL SPECTRUM is a group exhibition of Portland XR artists at Daydreamer Coffee and Public House in St. Johns, opening November 7 and running through the holidays. The framing: just as a prism reveals the colors hidden inside light, these artists use immersive technology to surface the hidden layers of the human heart. Visitors explore the work through phones, VR headsets, and AR glasses, so the show is as much about the viewing apparatus as it is about the images. The organizers treat technology as a way to amplify human expression rather than replace it, and the exhibition doubles as a growth effort for the Portland immersive community. Sponsored by Specs and the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication Reality Lab in Portland. Opening night party at 7315 N Fessenden S https://luma.com/7v1f7buz

The Annual Best Of Pants On Fire Party: Filthy/Freaky

Portland's Wildest Storytelling Experience Returns!

Take a break and treat yourself after a long Turkey Day and join us for Portland's wildest and most interactive comedy and storytelling entertainment event: the annualBest Of Pants On Fire! Party at the historic White Eagle Hotel & Saloon.

Each Pants On Fire! show features eight of the Northwest's premier storytellers, comedians, artists, writers, celebrities & musicians telling some of the most outrageous, hard-to-believe, 100% true stories you've ever heard - except that one of our storytellers will be lying to your face, telling a complete whopper that never happened. Our annual Best Of show, always held over Thanksgiving weekend, brings back our best performers of the past year, as voted on by our fans.

And as always, if you can guess which of our storytellers is the liar, you could win an overnight stay at the Edgefield Winery on us. Or you can try to win the Bag O' Somewhat Valuable Prizes with our Two Truths & A Lie Audience Cage Match!

Pants On Fire:Filthy/Freakywill be a 21-and-over show, and will feature eight incredibly sinful, possibly risqué, decidedly not-safe-for-work stories. (Our earlier show, Pants On Fire: Family/Friendly (9:00pm), will be all ages and decidedly not risqué; you can get tickets to that show at the White Eagle or 7 Deadly Sinswebsite. )

Featuring new (mostly) true stories from comedian and creatorof the award winning shows American't and Rabbit Night!!! Jon Bennet; writer, actress, one-time-weather-gal anPDX radio icon Daria Eliuk;comedian, Funny/Story coach, and host of Shady Pine Radio's Porch Hang Ash Allen; comedian, New Yorker Magazinecontributor, and winner of WillametteWeek's 2021 Funniest Five Katie Nguyen; comedian, The Moth storytelling coach, creature of the Webby-nominated Failure Club, and host ofThe Absolute Worst Show Meg Ferrill; storyteller, director of Story Pirates, host of Kickstand Comedy's The Do Over and exactly 50% of the award-winning improv duo Tim & Bradford Bradford Jordan; marketing guru and longtime DJ and VJ Melissa Ives; couples therapist and 7DS fan favorite Jamie Berkowitz; and more!

This show sells out every year, so get your tix now and come out for a wild night of funniest, craziest, most unbelievable stories you'll ever hear on stage - most of which will actually be true.

______________

Over the past decade, 7 Deadly Sins has built a reputation as one of the most innovative live storytelling collectives in the country. Each of our shows blend comedy, tragedy, inspiration, and redemption into riveting stories from real people that remind us all what it means to be human. Our regular shows include the interactive comedy shows 7DS: Pants On Fire!,The Absolute Worst Best & Weirdest Show, and Daria's Confessional Cabaret at McMenamins White Eagle, as well as7 Deadly Sins: MainStageand7 Deadly Sins: Saturnalia!at the Mission Theater.
