Old Time Jam
Join us every Thursday from 7–10 PM at The Hostel Cafe for our weekly Old Time Jam, a welcoming gathering for musicians who love traditional Appalachian tunes, fiddle music, and acoustic string-band sessions. All skill levels are invited to play, listen, and connect with our lively local folk music community.
Contact improv jam - all levels - Thursdays - Baker Building
An open-level contact improvisation jam for all experience levels, including beginners. This is a jam rather than a class, so there is no formal instruction, though participants can ask a facilitator for a short demo. An opening circle and warmup take place shortly after the gathering begins. Music is typically not played, though a guest DJ or musician occasionally joins.

Second Sunday Irish Session at Grand Lodge
Come join our open Irish session at Garage Door. Sessions will be hosted by Mikela Valenzuela, an avid Celtic fiddler and local teacher. Jazz Vocal Jam
A welcoming vocal jazz jam invites singers to perform show tunes, jazz standards, folk songs, or country western songs with piano accompaniment by professional pianist Patrick Carr. Bring sheet music in your key, iRealPro charts, or fake charts. Listeners are welcome, too. The gathering is open to all ages and free, with tips for the pianist encouraged. Registration is requested.
Tuesday Steeplejack Céilí
Enjoy an evening of Irish set dancing, live music, and community. All dances are taught and called, so no partner or prior experience is needed. The gathering is family friendly and welcomes all ages, whether you come with friends and family or on your own. Nearby food carts offer food to enjoy before dancing.
