Serve a Meal at Jean's Place (age 18+) *Hands On*

Support a meal for the ladies at Jean's Place! Volunteers will be asked to bring ingredients to contribute to the meal and the group will prepare dinner on-site to serve to the ladies living at Jean's Place. The volunteer leader will contact each volunteer to instruct you on what ingredients to bring. We're counting on you! It is imperative that if you sign up for this project, you intend to be there and provide the ingredients that are assigned to you. When volunteers don't show up, we're not able to make the meal. If you are unable to attend, please let your Volunteer Leader know ASAP! Please note: no volunteer will be turned away due to lack of resources. If bringing a food item is a hardship for you, please alert the project leader. Everyone will then help facilitate a game of bingo, which will include prizes for the winners! Join us for this unique experience! Volunteers are asked to refrain from wearing strong fragrances, such as perfume and cologne, during their volunteer shift. A part of Transition Projects, Jean's Place is a transitional housing program for adult, single homeless women. Project Requirements: Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to attend this project. If you plan to bring guests you MUST reserve slots for them. The best way to do this is to create a Volunteer Team, then sign up your team for this project. IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for ensuring that everyone signed up through your team attends - only sign up team members who have confirmed their availability. Teams that repeatedly sign up, but do not show up or show up with fewer volunteers than they signed up, may be removed. To add or remove team members from a project, click on "My Account" and then "My Teams," above. Click "Sign Up" below to reserve your spot! Need help signing up? Magic Tea Party: A Live D&D Comedy Show

Fuse Theatre Ensemble - The Back Door Theater4319 Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard

In this live Dungeons and Dragons show, comedians and performers take to the stage to play some theater games, share some jokes, and play some D&D.

This season of Magic Tea Party, you will join Dungeon Master Juliet Mylan, who will lead:

  • Cosmo Reynolds (as Joey, just some guy with a ukulele that frequents Portland open mics)
  • Jenna Britann (as Holbrook, a 165,786,084 yr old dilophosaurus),
  • Riley McCarthy (as Enoch "Nucky" Fallstar, an apostle of the doomsday cult Threshold of Paradise with some unorthodox powers)

Audience members will take part in controlling the players' fate as they navigate an AU magical Portland in a series of side quests to gather magical artifacts for MOMSI (that's Magical OMSI for the layperson). The show can include strong adult themes and language, so if you bring your 8-year-old, just know they may learn something you were hoping to discuss with them after they hit puberty. Recommended for ages 16+ and parental guidance for those younger.

Small concessions booth with snacks, sodas, seltzers, beer, and wine available at the show. A coffee shop is located in front of the theater, and beverages are welcome in the theater. Tickets are GAYAF (Give As You’re Able Friend) with a suggested donation of $20 to compensate the performers and keep this independent LGBTQ theater running.

Ball Save Social Club Pinball Tournament

Introducing a new beginner-friendly monthly pinball tournament: Ball Save Social Club! Monthly on first Wednesdays.

The goal is to keep BSSC a casual space that boosts new players and further helps build the community. It’s also a place to highlight the skilled players in our community that are willing to share the secrets and take on a challenge. The tournament starts at 7:00 pm however if you are there at 6:00 pm and are a newer or lower skilled player the TD can find a higher skilled player to play some games with you to either teach rules or flipper skills.

Getting wrecked constantly can be exhausting and discouraging. So the difference with BSSC and other tournaments is the introduction of a handicap system. Inspired by bowling leagues and golf tournaments to help even the playing field and make it more fair. The format will be 4 games of a matchplay format with a one game final for the top 4.

Handicaps will be determined by player ratings in MatchPlay. Handicaps will be a percentage taken off of your score at the end of the game.

Expert: 40% off
A: 30% off
B: 15% off
C: 0% off
D, E and unrated: 0% off and can play one extra ball

Example with a score of 1,304, 216,800 this is what would count
Expert: 782,530,080 (1,304, 216,800 × 0.6)
A: 912,951,760 (1,304, 216,800 x 0.7)
B: 1,108,584,280 (1,304,216,800 x 0.85)
C: 1,304,216,800
D, E and unrated: 1,304,216,800 (plus an extra ball)

Sometimes an experimental format may happen!
