Sound Bath Experience on the Farm

ChamBurn Farm LLC20925 S Nursery Ln

As autumn settles more deeply into the land, join a cozy evening at ChamBurn Farm in Oregon City, just 20 minutes south of Portland. Begin with a short tour of the beautifully designed farm, then warm up with hot cider and a seasonal snack provided by chef Jim of ChamBurn Farm.

Under a large covered outdoor patio complete with a fire burning in the fireplace, Angela of Breathe Yoga will open the evening's practice with a grounding, inviting you to settle into your body, connect with the earth beneath you, and arrive fully in the moment. Then, Gabrielle of Hearthsounds Sound Healing will guide you into a 75-minute immersive sound bath. Singing bowls, gong, chimes, and other instruments will surround you in layers of sound and vibration, blending with the natural sounds of the farm: the crackle of the fire, the rustling of the evening air, and the occasional call of an animal.

November invites one to slow down. The harvest has been gathered, the landscape is changing, and nature is gradually becoming quieter. This evening is an opportunity to follow that rhythm, settle into stillness, and simply receive.

Run Club and Power Walking

All are welcome for this fun community run and walking group, held on the first Saturday of every month. This is a free community group, so anyone can join the runners or walkers at no cost. It's a great Milwaukie Running Club group. The sauna social after the run is offered at half price: just $14.50. Capacity is limited to the first 20 sign-ups, so you are encouraged to sign up in advance.

The light pace is great for beginners, and set by the group. If a few people want to go slower or faster, the group will split into different-paced pods. Simply show up just before 8 a.m., run or walk for about an hour, then enjoy sauna time together at half price afterward.

Soak up that steam and the cold contrast for muscle recovery, improved circulation and enhanced running performance. Meet rain or shine and always make sure everyone is feeling safe and supported. Keep up that momentum toward your 2026 goals with this guided route โ€” run or walk.

Slow Shapes & Softening for Creative Joy

Emily Wright

Join Emily Wright for a special offering that will weave together gentle postures, meditation and creative practice to unwind tension, tend to fatigue, and brighten intuitive, creative force. The practice will include yin yoga, yoga nidra, and a lightly guided, silent painting meditation. All levels and backgrounds are welcome.

$25 โ€“ the practice + all creative supplies

$55 โ€“ the practice, all creative supplies + a bottle of fine, natural scent, 5 ml roll-on. This special scent crafted by artist Catherine Haley Epstein blends natural, high-quality extracts of cedar, violet and apricot for a light, peace-inspiring aroma. A lovely add on to any restorative or creative practice.

The practice of Yoga Nidra is thousands of years old yet immensely relevant to our time. A systematic process of deliberate relaxation that combines breath, body-scan and imagery-based techniques to serve as a powerful antidote to overstimulation, burnout and exhaustion.

Yoga Nidra is an accessible go-to practice in any wellness toolkit for sharpening cognition, bolstering creativity and promoting a healthy response to stress. Through a 20-minute practice, studies have shown that it improves neuroplasticity, resets dopamine levels and supports healthy central nervous system regulation.

Additionally, its ancient wisdom undeniably invites in a deeper knowing of the soul. This more spiritual angle empowers a release of fear and unwanted habits and enables new alignment to authenticity, freedom and heart.

Verboort Sausage Festival

  • Organizer: Cameron Bennett
  • Schedule: Meet at 8am, ride at 8:30am
  • Ride Length: 15+ miles
  • End Location: The scheduled portion of the ride will end at the sausage fest. Stick with the group to roll to the Hatfield (Hillsboro) MAX station after dinner, or ride home when you've had enough to eat and drink.
  • Location Details: Meet under the picnic shelter by the basketball courts
  • Audience: Adults (21+)

Would you ride in the rain for all-you-can-eat bratwurst? Let's enjoy some rolling (and likely rainy) miles to Verboort; the all-you-can eat dinner tastes way better if you ride there!

GETTING THERE
Meet at the Wallace Park picnic shelter near the basketball courts. Gather at 8am, departing at 8:30am - can't be too late to dinner. Pace will be spirited enough to stay warm but slow enough to not show up too sweaty. There will be a few regroup/snack breaks at the top of the climbs, as shown on the route.

THE ROUTE
Please be aware that there are some significant hills on this route, and we will be far from TriMet service at times. While this is a no-drop ride, you are expected to be self-sufficient! Bring enough layers and calories to keep yourself happy and healthy for the conditions. There are short sections of busy roads on route, but it is generally pretty low-traffic. There is a short section of gravel since it's the nicest way to get over the hill; you will be able to ride it on any type of bike.

Bring a lock, lights, rain gear, and some cash! Fenders are appreciated :)

THE SAUSAGE FESTIVAL
Dinner is $23, and there will be a wait to eat after we arrive. Luckily, there's a beer garden to pass the time in... There will be sauerkraut and sausage for sale. Make sure you've got the stomach and cargo capacity to take advantage of it all!

https://www.verboort.org/dinner

GETTING HOME
Worried about riding home? ...trust us, the MAX is the better option. We'll roll out as a group and keep the pace easy on our full tummies.

Flow State is a monthly, music-driven Vinyasa flow set to an uplifting electronic dance music (EDM) soundtrack hosted by co-teachers Karen Adamczyk and Alexie Heimburger.

Beginning with a gentle warm-up, use fluid dance-inspired movement to shake off the week, awaken your body, and sync with the rhythm of your breath. From there, the intensity gradually rises into a strong, athletic Power Vinyasa practice. Expect creative sequencing, dynamic flows, and building heat as you cultivate strength, mobility, presence, and full-body energy.

The class will wind down with dance before settling into a deeply restorative, long savasana. This final stillness allows your nervous system to integrate the effort, movement, and joy of the practice.

Description

On-line sign-in. Please sign-in, if possible before the day of the ride. If, on the day of the ride there are no riders signed in, then the ride may be cancelled regardless of the weather conditions.

Ride cancellations are possible October through February due to unsafe road conditions.

This ride may be cancelled due to rain.

Please check this posting on the morning of the ride before attending.

Come build strength or see something new by mixing the West Hills into your riding schedule. Each week we choose one of four low traffic routes varying from 19 miles/2000 feet of gain to 22 miles/2500 feet of gain. What we affectionately refer to as the Kiddy Coaster, the shorter route, but with less severe climbs, but still a bunch of elevation gain. We'll stay together enough that you wonโ€™t have to navigate thru all the turns. The ride starts at the west end of the Highway 26 bike path (near the Hwy 26/217 interchange), rolls up and down through the West Hills, and makes a stop to take in the views from Council Crest. The ride has a bunch of fun (and steep) โ€œupsโ€ that will challenge you, and โ€œdownsโ€ that will leave you feeling like a kid again. E-bikes are welcome โ€“ bring a fully charged battery! Embodied Insight: Psychology & Yogic Philosophy in Practice

Embodied Insight: Psychology & Yogic Philosophy in Practice with Giovanna Cafaro A monthly 2 hour offering blending yogic philosophy, mental health psychology, and movement through an experiential practice centered around a new theme each month. November Theme : Compassion: Meeting yourself with kindness Sign Up Sunday, November 22, 2026 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM Sliding Scale: $15-$40 View Full Detail This 2 hour offering integrates yogic philosophy and mental health psychology into a grounded, experiential practice. Each session begins with a short talk and/ or journal prompts exploring themes each month related to self-understanding, relationships, and the human experience, followed by guided movement to embody these ideas, and closes with space for reflection and integration. The intention is to support insight, connection, and a more compassionate relationship with yourself. What to Expect Each session follows a consistent arc while exploring a new monthly theme: Opening grounding practice A short dharma talk integrating principles of psychology and yogic philosophy Optional journal prompts with guided discussion and reflection An intentional movement practice designed to embody the theme Breathwork and/or meditation Time for integration and closing reflection The emphasis is on creating an experience that is both intellectually engaging and personally meaningful, offering participants the opportunity to connect insight with embodied practice. Key Takeaways Participants will leave with: A deeper understanding of themselves through both psychological and yogic perspectives. Practical and applicable takeaways to integrate into daily living. Embodied practices that support nervous system regulation, resilience, and self-compassion. Reflection prompts and themes to continue exploring beyond class. A greater sense of connection to themselves and to a supportive community of practice. No prior experience with yoga philosophy or psychology is necessary. Instructor Giovanna (she/her) believes yoga is an invitation to connect to self by embodying curiosity, compassion, and presence. She views yoga practice as a lifelong exploration of what it means to be human: navigating change, embracing uncertainty, finding meaning, and cultivating a more authentic relationship to ourselves, others, and the world around us. She first discovered yoga in 2010 while living in New York City. Yoga became a space that offered a sense of grounding amidst the constant movement of city life. After moving to Portland in 2016, yoga became an anchor through transition and a pathway to community. Over the years, her practice has expanded beyond asana into meditation, breathwork, philosophy, mantra, and self-inquiry. Embodying yogic practice in this way continues to shape both her life and the way she shares yoga with others. Giovanna has completed a 300-hour trauma-informed yoga teacher training and is currently earning her masterโ€™s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her guiding is deeply influenced by both yogic philosophy and existential psychology, and she loves exploring the places where these traditions naturally intersect. Each class is thoughtfully woven around a theme inspired by yoga philosophy, anatomy, and the shared human experience. You can expect authenticity, intentional movement, moments of reflection, a thoughtful soundtrack, humor, and an open heart from Giovanna. Her hope is that students leave class feeling a little more grounded, a little more connected, and with a deeper trust in their own inner wisdom. She is grateful to all her teachers and guides: Audra Carmine, Manorama, Christina Sell, Nancy Nomellini, and Chauna Bryant for all their incredible and deep wisdom.
