About this event
There are swaths of the Columbia Slough where no trees grow along the banks because invasive Himilayan blackberries have taken over. Trees provide shade and habitat that are essential to the health and welfare of the Slough. This project is looking to remove a 9,000 square foot section of Himilayan blackberry and replace it with native plants and trees. This event will involve spreading bark mulch where the blackberry has already been removed and digging up the remaining blackberry crowns. Advanced Registration: Is required.
