About this event

Join Lloyd EcoDistrict for their monthly cleanup at Peace Memorial Park. This event is based in Peace Memorial Park and covers the surrounding areas (Eastbank Esplanade/Duckworth Dock/Convention Center). The clean-up event will include trash pick-up, sprucing up Peace Memorial Park, and removing graffiti around the area. A big focus of this cleanup will be site maintenance at the park, in particular raking up leaves along the bike lanes, walkways, and stairs in the park. About Peace Memorial Park: Connected to the Eastbank Esplanade, intersected by one of Portland’s busiest bikeways, and graced with expansive views of the Willamette River and the downtown skyline, Peace Memorial Park was established as a public place to honor victims of war, both military and civilian, by the Portland chapter of Veterans for Peace. Veterans For Peace has taken the lead in lifting up the original intention of November 11th – as a day for peace. Advanced Registration: Is required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot. Meeting Location: Volunteers will be inside of Peace Memorial Park. Peace Memorial Park is located at the intersection of NE Oregon St and NE Lloyd Blvd (just east of the Steel Bridge and west of the Oregon Convention Center). Address: 7 NE Oregon St Portland, Oregon 97232 | Map Link What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience.
