Slay

Get ready for a world premiere at Artists Repertory Theatre with Yussef El Guindi’s Slay, a dark comedy that’s perfectly timed. Hossam, a recently fired arts journalist, and Rachel, an optometrist focused on Gaza, face a challenge: their dog Albert is acting incredibly strange. He’s growling, lashing out, and even running away. What’s going on?

Seeking answers, they consult a pet therapist, who suggests Albert’s behavior stems from the political climate – he’s a conservative! This revelation ignites a maelstrom of tension at home, with truly deadly consequences. This show promises a quick-witted, absurd look at our times, and the complexities of pet ownership. Go see it!
