Winterfest

Enjoy holiday shopping while you take in the winter scenery and the aerial tree walk with free admission at Leach Botanical Garden's WinterFest. Admission is free all weekend. Visitors can shop for the holidays, enjoy the winter garden and stroll on the Aerial Tree Walk. It's a drop-in event, and registration is not required.

Shoppers can browse one-of-a-kind, hand-decorated wreaths and visit the Winter Market. The market offers locally made, fair trade and nature-themed gifts, including socks, books, puzzles and chocolate. Winter drinks will be for sale in the Manor House, and every purchase supports Leach Botanical Garden.

The unique botanical and traditional wreaths sell out quickly, so early arrival is recommended. Garden members get early access at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Located in East Portland, Leach Botanical Garden celebrates the diverse plant life that thrives in the Pacific Northwest. The 17-acre garden includes sunlit gardens, wooded slopes and riparian areas. It also has spaces for gathering, observing, learning and relaxing. Paths wind through stands of 80-foot-tall Douglas firs and native plantings, among more than 2,000 plant varieties. The Garden is a Wheel the World certified destination with a fully ADA-accessible Aerial Tree Walk.
