About this event
"The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra" is perfect for young audiences, bringing Benjamin Britten’s music to life as dancers embody each section of the orchestra. Paquita showcases the color and energy of 19th-century Spain through lively solos and ensembles. Through playful and vibrant movements, the dancers represent each section of the orchestra — strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion — displaying the layers of instruments that come together to create a unified sound. Perfect for audiences of all ages, this piece combines classical ballet technique with an introduction to orchestral music.
Choreography by John Clifford | Music by Benjamin Britten
