Arbor Day

Join us for the annual Arbor Day for treats, trees, and to celebrate Milwaukie’s urban forest! Volunteers will gather at SE 42nd Ave. & SE Monroe St. and sort into crews and enjoy refreshments before planting in the neighborhoods. This is a fun opportunity to get outside with your neighbors while helping increase the urban canopy cover!

Residents can get trees planted at their home in their right-of-way or in their front, side, and backyard. A large variety of trees are available, and a street tree inspection must be completed by Friends of Trees staff before ordering street trees. Interested residents should sign up as soon as possible to receive one of the trees that will be available this year. Sign up at Get A Tree - Friends of Trees.

Planting volunteers can register ahead of time on the Friends of Trees website or on the day of the event. Sign up to volunteer and learn more about the plantings at https://friendsoftrees.org/event-calendar/. Advanced registration is encouraged because events often fill up.
