Election Day Ballot Drop-Off

Multnomah County voters can return their ballots at any library location for the November 3, 2026 General Election. Drop boxes close at exactly 8 pm on Election Day. Ballots are collected by Elections staff and taken directly to the Elections Office on a regular schedule, with additional collections as needed; libraries can call for a pickup if their totes are getting full. Multnomah County Libraries have supported elections since vote by mail was introduced in Oregon nearly 30 years ago. Every election worker who handles a ballot is sworn in to uphold the integrity of the election process, and multiple staff members are present when ballots are handled. A map of ballot return sites is available from Multnomah County.
