Natural Resources Center Groundbreaking

Green 2 Parking Lot Monday, December 7, 2026, 3:30 – 5pm Please join us Monday, Dec. 7, at 3:30 p.m., as we hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Holden Natural Resources Center at Clackamas Community College’s Oregon City campus.Developed in partnership with Oregon State University Clackamas County Extension Service, the center will house CCC’s natural resources programs and the OSU Extension Services Center. OSU Extension is a major funding partner and will occupy approximately one-third of the building. Designed for hands-on learning, the facility will feature specialized water and environmental testing labs, a covered outdoor classroom and more than 8,000 square feet of teaching gardens. A dedicated tree climbing lab — one of only two comparable college facilities in the country — will give students a controlled setting to practice climbing, rope access and aerial rescue.
