Overview

Portland Art Museum invites the community to join a Free First Thursday event, offering free admission to the museum for all, plus screenings of Acting Like Women, artmaking, and Look With Me tours.

Schedule

• 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Art and Conversation, Sunken Ballroom
• 1 p.m. Meet the Artists & Catalogue Signing in the Nine Women Artists exhibition gallery
• 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Acting Like Women screenings, Whitsell Auditorium.
• 4 – 6 p.m. Look With Me: 20 minute guided slow looking session with a single artwork, every 30 mins, look for signs in the galleries

About Free First Thursdays

Thanks to generous support from the Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program, admission to the Portland Art Museum is free on the first Thursday of every month, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Everybody is an Art Person! Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, Free First Thursday is an invitation to explore, discover, and connect with art in your own way. Enjoy the galleries at your own pace, with occasional special programs featuring community partners and hands-on art-making activities. No art background required, just curiosity!
