About this event
Volunteer Opportunity Join Friends of Trees, the City of Cornelius, and Clean Water Services for a day of planting at Mariposa Park. About the Program Friends of Trees inspires people to improve the world around them through a simple solution: planting trees, together. Since 1989, Friends of Trees has planted 1 Million trees and native shrubs in neighborhoods and natural areas in six counties across two states. We’ve done this by bringing together over 75,000 community members, and while implementing and growing programming that aims to do this work inclusively and equitably. About the Project Join Friends of Trees, the City of Cornelius, and Clean Water Services for a day of planting at Mariposa Park. We'll be planting native trees and shrubs, enhancing the floodplains along the Tualatin River! Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. The planting starts at 9:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and planting guidance, as well as breakfast snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocolate -- all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather wearing sturdy shoes or boots, and be ready to have fun!
