Banks: A Town on the Move

The Banks Historical Society Presents

In the earliest years of the 20th Century the town of Greenville literally picked up and moved-buildings and all-to Banks. We’ll look at why and how in this program that was originally delivered to the 6th grade engineering class at Banks Middle School. Their assignment: to figure out how entire buildings were moved two miles up a dirt road with only the tools and technologies available between 1901 and 1906. The students’ final projects will be on display.
