Sunday Salon

In keeping with the concept of the historic salon, Toolbox Gallery welcomes you to a gathering focusing on the arts.

Join us Sunday, November 8, from 1 to 4:00 for an afternoon of poetry, music, and community. Liz Nichols will moderate, inviting a variety of poets to read, and Oleg Zhdan will play our Gallery piano.

Poets who submitted to the week’s popup poetry exhibition Small Wonders will read, but so can you! Bring a poem you have written or one written by a favorite poet.

Oleg and Liz are past exhibitors at the Gallery. They both represent the founding mission of Toolbox, to illuminate the creativity and artistry of craft trades workers in construction. Oleg came to the US as a composer of classical music and became a skilled carpenter. Liz was a gardener and became a cement mason, marrying the two in her art. Both included their own poetry in their exhibitions.
