About this event

Why are people homeless, what do they need, and how can we make things better? Join Bearnard Roeder, RN, QMHP, for an engaging presentation exploring the causes of homelessness in Portland, who makes up our unhoused population, and why so many people fall through the cracks of our healthcare, housing, and social support systems. Drawing on 12 years of nursing experience and his graduate research in counseling, Bearnard will explore the realities of homelessness, potential solutions, and what people living on the streets need most. Most importantly, we'll discuss practical ways to get involved, connect with local resources, and make a meaningful difference in our community. Leave with a better understanding of homelessness and ideas for how you can be part of the solution!
