The Beauty Queen of Leenane

How far will someone go to get what they want?

In a small village in Ireland, 40-year-old Maureen lives with her aging mother, Mag. Maureen dreams of escaping, but Mag has no intention of letting her go.

Their everyday arguments are often hilarious, but beneath the humor lies a bitter struggle for control. When Maureen meets a man who offers the possibility of a different future, the conflict between mother and daughter takes a dangerous turn.

Martin McDonagh’s award-winning dark comedy is both funny and deeply unsettling.
