Spain - Nov 8 (Matinee)

Set in 1936, Spain follows two passionate filmmakers as they create a sweeping film about the Spanish Civil War, hoping to influence American hearts and minds. Their ambitious project is funded by the KGB, raising questions about how truth and fiction can be shaped by the way a story is presented. This cross-disciplinary production features live opera developed with Portland Opera, along with recorded and live music performed by musicians with 45th Parallel. The matinee performance is followed by a Profile Theatre MatChat, with a guest panel to be announced.
