Silver Falls Trail Party

Help finish the gravel approach to the bridge at South Falls and begin repairing stone steps along the trail. The work involves moving gravel and trail maintenance, with moderate hiking and work intensity. The work site is about a half-mile from the parking lot, with a descent of roughly 150 feet and a steep climb back out at the end of the day. The crew is limited to six people and led by Art Mills. Participants should plan to stay for the entire trail party. Bring plenty of water, snacks or lunch, sunscreen, insect repellent, and any medications or emergency supplies you may need. Wear sturdy, closed-toe boots, long sleeves and pants, and layers suited to the weather. Tools and personal protective equipment are provided, and loaner gloves are available.
