Powell Butte Trail Party - PDX

Help maintain existing natural-surface trails through drainage clearing, tread work, and vegetation trimming as needed. The project involves a short walk to the work area and less than two miles of hiking overall, with under 300 feet of elevation gain. Hiking intensity is low, and the work intensity is moderate. The crew will work at a comfortable pace and take regular breaks. Participants are expected to stay for the full event and should not arrive late or leave early for safety reasons. Bring plenty of water, snacks, sturdy work gloves if available, any needed medications or emergency supplies, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a pack. Tools and personal protective equipment are provided. Wear sturdy, closed-toe boots that protect your toes, along with long sleeves and pants and layers suited to the weather. Loaner gear may be available through Trailkeepers of Oregon.
