About this event

Writer, speaker, and care partner advocate Kerry Rae Connolly will share reflections from her memoir and her experience caring for her late husband, Harry, who was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s at 47, five years into their marriage. In a candid interview with Parkinson’s Resources program coordinator Deirdre Gill, she will discuss themes of love, loss, resilience, and finding joy, community, and support. The program will continue with a care-partners-only discussion, offering space to share experiences and build understanding across different care journeys. Refreshments and cake will be provided as care partners take time to support one another and exchange ideas for meeting the challenges of caring for someone with Parkinson’s.
