About this event

Vancouver Audubon presents “Conserving the California Condor” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at Evergreen Public Schools District Office, 13413 N.E. LeRoy Haagen Memorial Drive, Vancouver. Oregon Zoo Wildlife Conservation Specialist Hayley Brazier will discuss the zoo’s condor recovery facility and Lead-Free Hunting Education Program. The zoo has hatched 133 condors at the Jonsson Center in Clackamas County, bringing the current population to nearly 600 birds, up from just 22 in 1982. She will also highlight the zoo’s efforts to save other species, from newts and frogs to pond turtles and lampreys. Vancouver Audubon programs are free and open to the public.
