About this event

Join a down-to-earth conversation with representatives from Skamania PUD who will share how solar works from the utility side. No sales pitch, just plain answers. Learn how your system connects to the grid, how net metering and billing really work, and why credits expire. Come solar-curious, cautious, or already convinced and leave with brighter insight on the decision to participate in the PUD's net metering program.

  • With the average solar installation running around $50K, it may not be practical for all customers.
  • PUD staff are not subject matter experts on solar technology and its evolution.
  • The PUD's energy portfolio supplied by BPA is nearly 95% green/renewable. Solar system manufacturing may have an equal or greater footprint than the power being delivered by the PUD.

Presenters will be Randy Payne, General Manager, and Matt Hollis, PUD Line Superintendent.
