Transgender Day of Remembrance

Each year, Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is observed to honor and remember transgender individuals whose lives have been lost to violence, discrimination, and the harmful impacts of transphobia. It is a time to reflect on the challenges faced by the transgender community, celebrate the lives and contributions of those we have lost, and reaffirm our commitment to creating a more inclusive and affirming world. Join us as we pause to remember and honor trans lives with care, compassion, and respect. Together, we can learn about the history and significance of this day while exploring meaningful ways to support and uplift transgender people in our communities. Visit the MDRC, located in the Student Union, to learn more about the history of Transgender Day of Remembrance and discover ways you can be an ally and advocate, both in remembrance and beyond.
