About this event

Join Portland Parks & Recreation to remove English ivy. By removing noxious weeds, we create space for native plant regeneration, increase biodiversity, enhance wildlife habitat and reduce erosion. This is a great way to get outside and enjoy nature.

Please click the button below to register on the PP&R database. You must have an account to register and creating an account requires a name (does not need to be your legal name), zip code and password. If you are not comfortable creating a login to register for any reason, please reach out to [email protected] and we can help you get registered.

Parking and public transportation

There is plenty of parking along the NW Savier and NW Aspen intersection, which is a quick walk to the trailhead. Please do not park on Holman Lane.

The 15 Bus drops off at NW Vaughn and 27th, which is a 20+ minute walk to the trailhead. Bikers are able to lock their bikes at the trailhead as long as the bikes do not obstruct the gate or the walk through on the sides of the gate. More information can be found at Trimet.org.

Forest Park Holman Meadow Meeting Location

This event will require bending over, walking off-trail on uneven surfaces and may walking up to 15 minutes on a steep slope. A portable restroom will be available at this site (not ADA compliant).

Thank you for your interest in volunteering to keep Portland's natural area parks healthy, beautiful, and safe for people and wildlife! Here are a few tips to get you ready for your stewardship event.

  • Registration is required for all stewardship events.
