Wilkes Park Pollinator Patch Volunteer Day

Celebrate the end of the volunteer season with us as plants and wildlife prepare for hibernation, and we prepare to welcome the winter season.

Join PP&R for our final volunteer event of 2026 at Wilkes Park for a family-friendly volunteer event to help with gardening tasks like weeding, pruning, mulching, and adding new plants to the park.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about gardening and connect with your neighbors and community. Plant care activities may vary monthly. Tools and instructions provided. Open to all skills and abilities, no experience is required to participate.

For more event details and to register for this event, visit the new PP&R volunteer website!

Snacks and hot beverages will be provided. Thank you for volunteering with us.

Activities may require bending, stooping, or kneeling close to the ground. There is a paved pathway throughout the park. Depending on the day and tasks, the surfaces to travel on may vary, but many of the tasks will be adjacent to a paved pathway.

There is an ADA accessible restroom (Portland Loo) on site. Many areas of the park have open exposure to the sun.

If you have questions about the accessibility of the event, please contact us. If you have an ADA accommodation request to be able to participate in this volunteer event, please use the 311 ADA Accommodation Request webpage.

If you would like to learn more about or request language access services, please contact PDX 311.

We recommend making your request as soon as possible and at least 5 business days (Monday - Friday) in advance of the event.
