About this event

Join Friends of Baltimore Woods and Portland Parks & Recreation for a day of planting in this beautiful North Portland park.

Baltimore Woods is a natural space filled with oak and maple trees towering over the neighborhood north of Cathedral Park, anchoring the Willamette bluff, standing as a buffer between riverside industry and downtown St. Johns residents, and providing shelter to native plants and animals. We will be tending to the natural habitat by planting native shrubs and trees which support a diversity of insects and pollinators and provides clean air and water in our city!

Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy, waterproof, closed to-shoes, and bring personal water bottle and snacks. Tools, gloves, project instruction, coffee/tea and light snacks will be provided.

Park at N Reno Ave and N Edison St. Then walk down N Reno Ave one short block to the red canopy at 9907 N Decatur.

Parking:

There is a street parking along N. Reno Ave. and N. Edison St. Please be careful to not block residential driveways.

Any child under 14 years of age needs to be accompanied by an attentive adult. Children over 14 need to have a guardian sign the waiver form available on the registration page.

Site Description/Accessibility

We will be working in an area that has uneven ground and downed tree vegetation. There will be a porta potty within walking distance.
