Monday Mic Night is an open mic event. Bring whatever you’d like to share—music, poetry, a soliloquy, a painting, even a magic trick. All ages and talent levels are welcome. Non-performing audience members are welcome too.

This event is free, all ages, and open to the public.

Are you a musician between the ages of 13 and 18? Join us for Teen Open Mic nights! Hosted by our amazing band of interns, open mics are the place to hone your performance skills. Rock out with in-house sound engineering, state-of-the art lighting, and a full back line of instruments. Musicians of all levels are invited to participate!

Don’t have a song to share? Join our supportive audience! Teen Open Mic is always free to attend and all ages.

The next Ghost Town Poetry Open Mic features Raúl Sánchez, 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at Art at the Cave. Admission is a suggested donation of $5, but no one will be turned away. Sánchez, Redmond’s poet laureate from 2019-2021, is the author of three poetry collections, including “When We Were Water.” Guests are also invited to read their own original poetry. Join us for a Poetry Open Mic! Read original work, share your favorite poem, or sit back and enjoy a night of poetry.

Readers must be 13 or older, but all ages are welcome to listen. Content must be suitable for families (i.e. no profanity, sexual content, etc.).

Sign-up starts 30 minutes before the event outside the Columbia Room. Each reader will have a 5-minute time slot, and are welcome to read multiple poems as long as they fit into the time limit.

Dovetail Cellars, 404 E. Evergreen Blvd., Vancouver, hosts an Open Mic Night with Jeff Keddie from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month. This event has gathered a dedicated and supportive lineup of songwriters and small groups who play every month. The show is live on KXRW, Vancouver’s local independent radio station. Sign-ups start at 5:30 p.m.

The Camas Public Library, 625 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas, hosts Poetry Open Mic Nights from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month (for November and December this event will take place on the third Wednesday, due to the Holidays). Read aloud your original or favorite work, and listen to monthly featured poets. All ages are welcome and the poetry night is family-friendly.

The Reading Room will open at 6:15 p.m. Readers must sign in by 6:25 p.m. Poetry readings will begin by 6:30 p.m. Readers may recite original poems or favorite poems. The order of readings will be determined by the sign-in sheet. Each reader will have 3-5 minutes to read, depending upon total number of readers. Comments and feedback will be given after the final poet has read.

Poems should not contain language unsuitable for family, e.g. profanity or sexually explicit materials. Time limitations will be enforced to ensure all readers can participate. Everyone should plan to stay until the final poems are read.
