“Earth’s Greatest Enemy” Documentary Screening

Clark College welcomes award-winning journalist Abby Martin of the Empire Files for a screening of her documentary film, “Earth’s Greatest Enemy,” 6-9:30 p.m. Nov. 19 in Foster Hall. This free community event is sponsored by the Clark College ASCC Student Life Philosophy Program. This film reveals a truth behind the climate crisis: the role of the U.S. military as the world’s largest institutional polluter, tracing the link between war, empire and ecological destruction. Drawing on powerful testimonies from veterans, scientists and frontline communities, it uncovers how military operations poison ecosystems, accelerate global warming and sacrifice the future for expansion.

The Little Town That Could - Documentary Screening

The community is invited to a screening and panel discussion of the documentary "The Little Town That Could."

About the Little Town That Could:
Ordinary people are building an emissions-free future in the Hudson Valley community of Croton-on-Hudson, NY; one heat pump, solar installation, electric school bus — and much more — at a time. Croton has been recognized as New York State’s #1 Clean Energy Community. Croton100, a climate group, celebrates their little town’s decarbonizing momentum with a series of beautifully crafted quilts depicting sustainability actions by government, businesses, public facilities and households. From Emmy-winning, Academy Award–nominated filmmakers Susan Todd and Andrew Young (Backyard Wilderness, Netflix; Lives in Hazard, NBC).
