Born in the Pacific Northwest, Austin now calls his fifth-wheel camper, “The Bandwagon,” home, traveling between Oregon’s coastal forests and Arizona’s desert landscapes. His music carries that same wandering spirit, blending earthy acoustic sounds with West Coast rock influences. His own description? “Sturgill Simpson meets The Black Crowes at a party that Van Morrison threw for Eddie Vedder.” Bring a few friends, grab a glass of your favorite wine, and spend the afternoon enjoying live music with Austin B. French roots meet American folk, blues, and country at this week’s Saturday Música with Eric John Kaiser. Born and raised in Paris and now based in Portland, “The French Troubadour” brings together the musical traditions of his childhood and the sounds he discovered on this side of the Atlantic.

Singing in both French and English, Kaiser has performed across North America, from intimate listening rooms to the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. His music blends French songwriting with Americana, drawing on nearly two decades of life and travel between the two cultures.
