Harvest Celebration: Where Wine & Art Meet | PAM + WVWA

Join us for Harvest Celebration, a one-of-a-kind evening where the worlds of art and wine come together in the heart of Portland.

Presented by the Portland Art Museum and the Willamette Valley Wineries Association, this immersive tasting experience celebrates the creativity, craftsmanship, and intersection between artists and winemakers. Enjoy wines from 54 Willamette Valley wineries alongside engaging artistic experiences, seasonal culinary offerings, and opportunities for discovery throughout the evening.

The evening will also feature a live artist creating work in real time, offering guests a firsthand look at the creative process. Interactive experiences invite attendees to become creators themselves, including opportunities to participate in creative activities. Guests can further extend their experience by exploring works available through the Portland Art Museum's Rental Sales Gallery, offering an opportunity to bring a piece of local art home and continue the experience long after the event concludes.

  • Six featured artist and winery pairing experiences
  • Live art demonstrations
  • Hands-on interactive experiences throughout the event

Join us for the public release of our 2023 Triomphe Signature Bordeaux Blend and a special vertical tasting featuring the 2021, 2022, and 2023 vintages. While the varietals remain the same, the proportions and personality of each vintage are uniquely their own. Discover the differences in aroma, flavor, and structure, find your favorite, and perhaps take home a bottle or two to enjoy now or tuck away for a special occasion. Since our beginnings in 2014, Triomphe has been Résolu Cellars’ flagship wine and our family’s tribute to those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Wicker: A Wine Flight at Pairings Portland

Pairings Portland Wine Shop & Bar455 Northeast 24th Avenue

A fisherwoman in a small seaside village gets so tired of her neighbors' teasing that she commissions a husband woven from wicker, and the village is thrown into an uproar. For one week, Pairings Portland is pairing a wine flight to Wicker, the Sundance favorite starring Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård, Peter Dinklage and Elizabeth Debicki. Each wine is matched to a piece of the story: the fisherwoman, her handmade husband and the scandalized neighbors. Pairings is a neighborhood wine shop and bar in Northeast Portland that builds a new themed flight every week. You can taste as few as five wines or as many as the lineup holds, and nine or more gets you 10% off bottles.

A small selection of non-alcoholic wines and sodas is also available. All are welcome, and fun will be had.

Wine 101: Wines of Southern Oregon

Spanning three different valleys in the southern part of the State — Umpqua, Rogue, and Applegate — the Southern Oregon AVA is home to hundreds of vineyards and wineries that get little attention to the north.

Unique soil types, combined with moderate Pacific Ocean airflow and less precipitation create a Mediterranean microclimate perfect for growing wine grapes traditionally found in warmer European sites, like Portugal, Spain, and southern France. And yet, with the addition of some steeper, high-elevation, North-facing vineyards, so too are cooler climate grapes like Pinot Noir and Chardonnay cultivated. We taste through nine different wines from Southern Oregon that you will want to add to your home wine cellar!

PortlandMap

Beginning in the Cascades and moving upriver through the eastern stretch of the Columbia River Gorge is the relatively young but rapidly growing wine-making region known as the Columbia River American Viticulture Area (AVA). Often referred to as “A World of Wine in 40 Miles,” the Columbia River AVA combines climates, soils, elevation, and geology to produce some of the most varied grape varietals in the Pacific Northwest.

Enthusiastic guides will introduce you to the most amazing places in the Gorge, Hood River Valley, and Mt Hood National Forest while providing a comprehensive narrative of this spectacular landscape and its transformative history. They will then transport you to one winery that best represents the unique offerings from the Columbia River AVA. Stops include Multnomah Falls, Bonneville Fish Hatchery, Hood River, one winery, and Timberline Lodge (over halfway up the side of Mt. Hood). Tasting fees are included.
