Lace History & Technique Demonstration

Anna Guillemot, a member of the Portland Lace Society, has been making lace for almost nine years. Her goal is to become comfortable with half a dozen techniques and to demonstrate them, and to spend the rest of her energy admiring the many others in existence in various parts of the world. She loves to teach, thereby encouraging new people to pursue an art that is very far from becoming extinct!

In this talk Fawkes will describe the process of interpreting Cline’s text in comics, an exercise during which she repeatedly asked herself how she might tell this story visually.
