High School Musicals a Book Talk and Performance
Join scholars Dr. Lindsey Mantoan, author of It's All Happening: How Musical Theater Does High School (Oxford, 2026), and Dr. Daniel Pollack-Pelzner, author of Lin-Manuel Miranda: The Education of an Artist (Simon & Schuster, 2025), for a free conversation about high school on the musical theater stage. This evening will feature performances by PSU students from some favorite high school musicals — come to sing, chat, and cheer along.

Play 'n Learn
Play is one of the five practices that help children get ready to read! Active play helps children develop physical coordination and motor skills they need for a wide range of activities, form walking and running to holding a book and tracking a line of text. Families can play and build together while socialize and connect with one another.

Book Babies Playtime
Play and learning go hand in hand. While our storytimes are on break, join other families for a fun playtime (for ages birth - 1) with board books, toys, music, and all the room your baby needs to learn through play. As Mr. Rogers said, "... for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."
Baby Stay & Play
A time for babies and their caregivers to hang out, play, chat, and make friends at the library. Ages 0-12 months or until walking.
