A celebration of the 70th consecutive Grand Sumo November Basho (Tournament) in Kyushu, featuring TV highlights from the first three days of the tourney, a live-action sumo demo by @PortlandSumo, sake bottles and cups to-go from @SunflowerSake, Japanese stationery, manga, and a gachapon machine by @ReggiesPDX, and a Lemonshu sake shandy on special.
Stromgard’s gathering offers time for practice, crafting, and socializing. Heavy and rapier fighters have space to fight and teach, while tables are available for scribal work and other crafts. Attendees are asked to sign in and complete a waiver.
Follow host Katie Burrell as world-class athletes enjoy their days off across Alaska, Japan, Deer Valley, Chamonix, and some of Canada’s best destinations. With no agenda or competition, the film celebrates pure, unscripted joy.
