Nahko and Medicine for the People – Hoka 10th Anniversary Tour

Nahko returns to North America this year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of HOKA, the landmark album that helped define a movement rooted in healing, empowerment, and connection. In honor of the anniversary, Nahko has re-recorded the entire album — revisiting, reimagining, and breathing new life into the songs while keeping the medicine at the heart of them intact. The re-recordings will be released in conjunction with the tour dates. Audiences can expect an evening of community, storytelling, healing, and musical time travel, featuring renewed versions of fan favorites like "Tus Pies," "Love Letters to God," "Make a Change," "Runner," and other beloved deep cuts from the album. As the voice behind Nahko and Medicine for the People, Nahko has built a global following through music grounded in resilience, accountability, and collective restoration. Drawing from Native, Filipino, and Puerto Rican heritage, his work channels lived experience into songs that continue to inspire growth, truth, and transformation. Now fully independent, Nahko continues to revisit and reclaim his catalog while forging a new chapter defined by authenticity, renewal, and the enduring belief that music is medicine. Carpathian Pacific Express

Yankl Falk and the Carpathian-Pacific Express are neo-klezmer and beyond – which is to say, the music has a passport full of old-world Eastern European melodies and a tendency to miss the train on purpose. Klezmer and Yiddish song, mystical Hasidic chant, virtuosic Eastern European violin, and New Orleans roots all find their way aboard. There are dances, soulful turns, and musical moments that take a scenic detour in search of unexplored beauty.

At the front of this expedition, Jack “Yankl” Falk sings and plays clarinet with a lifetime of feeling in the sound. Andrew Ehrlich’s violin catches fire; Ralph Huntley’s piano draws on a wide range of musical styles; Ji Tanzer’s drums keep the whole enterprise on point with precision and uncommon interpretive invention; and Courtney Von Drehle’s accordion and saxophone thread through the music with a few detours of their own. Five excellent musicians, one unusually well-traveled bandstand, and no particular reason to arrive where you expected.
