About this event

Prepare to journey back in time to the birth of the Cascade Mountain Range, where lava and pyroclastic matter oozed and flowed, creating a solid layer of basalt rock that coated Western Oregon. Fast-forward to the Pleistocene Ice Age and witness the epic Lake Missoula Flood, which carved the majestic Columbia River Gorge, leaving behind sheer cliff walls, towering waterfalls, and breathtaking vistas. Get ready to explore this natural wonderland, where enthusiastic guides will take you on a thrilling ride along the Historic Columbia River National Scenic Byway, stopping at iconic spots like the Portland Women’s Forum, Crown Point Vista House, Latourell Falls, Multnomah Falls, and Horsetail Falls. Prepare to be wowed by the wondrous sights and sounds of this awe-inspiring landscape and learn about its rich history along the way. Witness why the Columbia River National Scenic Area is one of the Seven Wonders of Oregon.

Lunch will be on your own in one of the charming towns along the Columbia River. You’ll find plenty of dining options, including local breweries. After lunch, the tour continues along the Columbia River, with scenic views around nearly every bend. The day’s final stops include wine tastings at two wineries, one in Oregon and one in Washington.

Many vineyards waive tasting fees, typically ranging from $20 to $35, with the purchase of two or more bottles of wine.
