I Love Sax Workshop

Fall in love with the saxophone at PSU! Join us for an afternoon workshop to prepare for district solo and ensemble competition, followed by a free evening concert.

Solo & Ensemble Workshop | 2–5 p.m.

Middle and high school saxophonists are invited to bring their competition repertoire for personalized coaching. Every registered soloist and ensemble will receive coaching, and students are also welcome to attend and learn without performing.

Solo participant: $30

Ensemble: $30 base fee, plus $10 per ensemble member

Observer: $10 per student

Registration is required by Monday, January 25. To register, email Dr. Mark Pipes at mpipes@pdx.edu.

While you’re here, explore saxophones, mouthpieces, and gear from participating vendors.

PSU Saxophone Studio Concert | 6 p.m.

After the workshop everyone is invited to celebrate an evening of saxophone music with performances by the PSU Saxophone Studio! The concert is free and open to the public, with no registration required.

Come for the music, the learning, and a whole lot of saxophone love!
