Learn to Darn! - November

In this three-hour hands-on class, instructor Sivia will teach several ways to darn holes and reinforce worn areas in socks, sweaters, and other knitwear. The techniques can also be used on other fabrics, though instruction and practice will focus on knitted materials. Bring items in need of repair so the best approach can be assessed, or work with practice garments available in class. Participants may bring scissors, darning needles, a darning egg, and reading glasses if needed. Yarn, needles, and darning eggs will also be supplied for use as needed. Sliding-scale ticket prices help balance accessible participation with fair instructor pay and the cost of class materials.
