About this event
This two-day, interactive workshop is designed for providers, educators, call counselors, and community members who want to build skills for suicide intervention. Through presentations, small-group discussions, exercises, demonstrations, and role-play in a supportive setting, participants practice recognizing requests for help, offering support, assessing suicide risk, using an evidence-based intervention model, and connecting people with community resources. The skills are intended to be useful across cultural and international contexts. The workshop provides 12 MHACBO credits, with NASW continuing education credits available by request at least 30 days in advance. Light snacks and refreshments are provided.
