Zine Workshop

Come and make zines at the library! There’s no one right way to make a zine (“zeen,” from the end of the word “magazine”), but often, they are handmade publications that are reproducible on a copy machine. Staff will provide a quick overview of zines and zine culture, and then all participants will be invited to make their very own zine with the materials on hand. Don’t worry – staff will be there to help you along the way.

The 12th Annual Washington State Zine Contest is open to ALL AGES! Submissions close March 26, 2027. We will have contest guidelines and submission forms for everyone interested.

Open to all patrons age 9 and older! All patrons age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
