Landscape presented by The Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association

The Gorge Sinfonietta launches an exciting new chapter with the arrival of its new conductor, Lars Campbell, making his debut with the ensemble this season, with Landscape, an evocative concert celebrating the power and drama of the natural world. Framed by the dramatic vistas of the Columbia River Gorge and standing in the twin shadows of Mount Hood and Mount Adams, the Gorge Sinfonietta’s season premiere mirrors the rugged beauty of the region through musical storytelling. Campbell curated the Landscape program specifically to reflect the majesty and grandeur that define the local community. With Landscape, Campbell and the Sinfonietta invite audiences to hear their surroundings anew—bridging the iconic summits of Hood and Adams and the timeless currents of the Columbia River with orchestral masterworks. Tickets: Adults $25; CGOA members $20; students/youth FREE (HS & college students show ID at the door). Also, $5 tickets are available at the door for SNAP card holders through the Arts for All program

Mount Hood Railroad Polar Express Train

First told in the award-winning book by Chris Van Allsburg, THE POLAR EXPRESS™ is the story of a child’s Christmas Eve journey to the North Pole. THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride comes alive with interactive storytelling for all ages to enjoy the magic, laughter and fun on a train trip to the North Pole! The Conductor and joyful train stewards welcome pajama clad passengers for a magical, family-friendly journey. Before entering the North Pole, enjoy a festive welcome inside the depot – *please arrive at least 45-60 minutes early* to allow for parking and boarding entertainment. During the ride, everyone is served hot chocolate and cookies by the cheerful cast during an interactive journey to The North Pole. Santa and the elves will then board the train to greet each child and present them with the first gift of Christmas — a special bell from Santa’s sleigh. For the remainder of the journey, everyone will enjoy a festive atmosphere with characters from the book, filled with music, laughter, and more interactive moments with the cast.
