Special guest Hieu Minh Nguyen presents original spoken word, appearing courtesy of Literary Arts as part of their Cover-to-Cover book festival line-up. About the Series: Chatter LateWORKS is a late-night series that explores modern, experimental, and avant-garde trends within contemporary classical music. The last LateWORKS of 2026, the series closes out the year with our biggest LateWORKS program yet. Three works for wind octet + cello bring special guest soloist Laura Metcalf and Oregon Symphony’s Trevor Fitzpatrick at the forefront of Chatter PDX’s resident wind octet, including for the world premiere of a new work by Chatter PDX composer-in-residence Akshaya Tucker. The evening also features two short world premieres by fellow composer-in-residence Kimberly Osberg, alongside works by James Shields and John Zorn. Don’t miss this incredible evening!
