The Three Ds

Soul'd Out Presents - The Three Ds - A Christmas Nog II Doors: 7:00pm Show: 8:00pm Ages: 21+ The Three Ds is fronted by Jessica Dover on Vocals, John Dover on Trumpet, and Mike Doolin on Guitars. Since 2016, they have performed and recorded together putting their own spin on the music of Jobim, 80’s pop classics, jazz standards, and a variety of Holiday songs. Their playful sound and arrangements lend a fresh approach to familiar material, leaving their audiences with a tap in their foot and a smile on their face. The release of their third studio album, A Night Like This, plays to all of their strengths. From the many hats of Mike Doolin laying down multiple guitar and bass tracks to every song, to Jessica Dover’s breezy approach to Jobim’s melodies, to John Dover’s buttery solo work on the flugel horn. The Three Ds deliver a heavy dose of Brazilian jazz along with a couple of American songbook surprises. Their prior releases include, A Little Christmas Nog, and A Little Christmas Nog II: Nog Harder. Their holiday performances take the arrangements from these recordings and deliver them with a nostalgic banter. Add in the sound of their full band and audiences are carried away with a smile on their face and holiday cheer in their hearts. https://drive.google.com/file/d/16OvkjjkMWav-qqXpvyAHNDrI7rTiGm_0/view JLR Seating Map Notes : For this show, you may reserve individual tables on the map pictured. The Mike Dillon Band Feat Brad Haas & Otto Schrang

Soul'd Out Presents: An Evening with The Mike Dillon Band, featuring Brad Haas & Otto Schrang: Mike & Beignet Go To The Zoo From the ever prolific mind of Mike Dillon comes Mike & Beignet Go to the Zoo, an 11-track, multi-dimensional percussion and vibraphone album. What began as an exploration of loss, would transform into a celebration of life, friendship, and the enduring spirit of a 5.6-pound Papillon named Beignet, the tiny pup who became Dillon’s constant tour companion, by his side for thousands of miles. The compositions were born from the grief of losing friends and influences. In a pivot to find light in the dark, Dillon decided to metaphorically transform those humans into animals, reimagining the LP as a joyful trip to the zoo with his dog. Highlights include the ghostly yet elegant “Honey The Peregrine,” a stately tribute to the late Ellis Marsalis entitled “Ellis the Penguin,” and “Puma & The Spider Monkey,” an analog synth Cumbia. It winds through psychedelia like “Gorilla & Zebra Birthday Party,” the electro-jungle boogie-funk of “Gibby Plays Possum” and closes with the mournful elegy “Beignet Greets the Owl.” Mike Dillon is a longtime collaborator of artists like Les Claypool and Rickie Lee Jones. This latest effort completes a loose trilogy of solo instrumental releases following Functioning Broke (2016) and Rosewood (2020). Doors: 7:00pm Show:8:00pm 21+ Notes on Seating: Open seating, may be limited or standing room only. First come, first seated. Open dance floor may obscure sightlines.
